Readers have wondered about this pic:
It is the official self-portrait of me, your host and benevolent dictator, as reflected in the ballpoint of a defunct Uniball pen so that all may put a face to the words you read here. And also so readers will recognize me on the street where they can gush and take a selfie with me to post all over social media as proof that dreams do come true.
The ballpoint is approximately 0.4mm in diameter. You can make out my glorious countenance, the chandelier above me in the royal chamber, and the black lens of the camera. The image is appropriately titled ‘Len-in-a-Pen™.’
Its somewhat abstract nature seemed a perfect visual representation for the flow of ideas from head to pen to paper in this age of journaling in a blog format such as this. There is probably some deep Freudian significance that I will leave to others to ponder.
