I wanted to mess with the “mind” of ChatGPT

[If you are not yet familiar with ChatGPT, you likely will be very soon. It is just one of the deities in the new virtual pantheon I call “It.”]

Like everyone else, I have been learning about the capabilities—and, more importantly—the limitations and dangers of the new crop of generative AI tools.

I had a complex question to trip up this amateur tech bot trying to replace me as the Mighty Favod. But when I went to log into my account, I was met with the increasingly common notice that It is at capacity…again. [I apologize in advance. You may have to temporarily zoom in on your screen  to read some of what follows]

But then it kept writing…

If you click to go backward, it brings up a new message and keeps writing. No prompt required!

So I tried it again…

That was on the nose!

And just kept going until it started to repeat itself.

And I suppose this one was inevitable. I wonder if anyone has run this through one of the generators that produce video? I don’t have time, so if you can and do, please let me know what it produces.

The next offering is more than a little scary and prescient…

Even It is warning us about It.
