It has been quite a long time since I last posted. There was too much going on to take time to comment, and I was overwhelmed.
I also wanted to spend more time with my nature photography. I treated myself to a new camera—long overdue—and felt invigorated to get back into serious shooting again.
That should bring things up to date regarding why the site hasn’t been updated.

I have tried to write this post for months. I have numerous versions that start at different points that I hoped I could bring together into something masterfully cohesive. It has all been so overwhelming. I couldn’t pull it together. At this point, all I can do is throw together some thoughts and observations in no particular order or cohesive construction. I will also remind you that this site is full of posts that are related to the topics that follow. I designed my archive page so you can actually tell what an article is about, not just see a list of dates.
About the site
I have been thinking about taking the plunge into the blogosphere for a few years but never felt enraged and engaged enough to take on the time and work involved. But the older I got, the more dismayed, annoyed, aggravated, incensed, and crotchety I became about what I see going on in my immediate surroundings, nationally, and internationally and the hotter the fire in the brain and belly became to do this.
Rules
-Dress code is strictly enforced.
-Marquess of Queensberry rules are in effect.
-Take one dose up to three times daily, preferably with food.
-Tardiness will not be tolerated. I have better things to do than wait for you.
-The official language of this domain is American English. The Queen’s King’s English will be grudgingly tolerated; street/urban/rap-crap will not.
