I went to the local AT&T store to buy a new phone. Upon entry I was greeted—in Spanish—by one of the several employees, all of whom looked to be Hispanic. This was not a unique event. A few months back the doorbell rang. When I opened the door the person standing there was soliciting for something and began talking to me in Spanish.
The neighborhood has not yet become overrun by the migrating hordes, although the township (which looks more and more like a ”sanctuary city” with each passing day) is clearly moving in that direction. These incidents are more than irksome, infuriating, vexing…the adjective list could go on and on…I have had enough of it.
This is America.This is MY country. You want to be here, you integrate.
We speak English.
I will not learn Spanish or any other language in order to live in MY country. Don’t even think about telling me that since so many are here that I have an obligation to do so—as some have tried to tell me.
Get this straight:
THEY are obligated to speak English or go back to wherever they came from.
I’ll be happy to point them in the right direction.
