This site was not up and running last year as planned, but if it had been, the present presidential sweepstakes would have been handicapped at that time. There would have been a clear prognostication that the reality distortion field bubble around Trump’s poll numbers would burst once phone polling was replaced by actual polling and the vetting process became real and consequential. I would have stated he had a snowball’s chance in hell, and that I had at least equal odds of winning it all…still do.
On my way to work this afternoon, BubbleHead was live on the Michael Savage show touting his lead in the South Carolina polls, but especially the alleged 24-26 point lead he had in New Hampshire (true on some polls, not as much on others. See http://bit.ly/1CyZ0Uf)…and his big lead in Iowa was considered a lock.
I laughed to myself.
Reality set in tonight, and it bit hard. Trump will be dumped, the bubble will burst, and he will be done on February 9.
Bet on it.

Update 2/10/16, post NH primary night: Yes he won big, but fear not. New Hampshire is not a representative state and his fortunes will fall as the campaign moves to other regions of the country.
