So I’m in one of the local foodmarts and I see some items on the shelves.
First was this:
And then I noticed this simple list of ingredients for a particular cookie-type product:
[Ed. note: tocopherols are naturally occurring compounds found in many foods that collectively are better know as Vitamin E, often used as a preservative]
Compare with this list for another cookie-type product:
The first product is packaged as being wholesome, real treats, that promote a healthy life and are appropriate for between meal snacking.
The second product, being a shortbread covered with a yogurt coating, makes no such claims, perhaps rightly so.
Now notice the intended consumer for each:
I’m just sayin’… food for thought.
