There are many definitions of insanity. Based on the general definition of it being extreme foolishness or irrationality, especially in the guise of Trump Derangement Syndrome, this puzzle quotes the conclusion of an article I heartily recommend (link provided after the puzzle).
Note that it also makes reference to the sham theme mentioned in puzzle #1.
