In my previous edition of this page, I mentioned that fall was transitioning into winter, hoping that afforded me time to work on any number of works-in-progress. The seasonal change [it’s now summer] hasn’t provided the kind of time I need to accomplish the goals I set of completing unpublished partial and new long-form pieces.
Instead, I remind you to check out my new content category—Puzzles—for your consideration, edification, or more likely, procrastination and entertainment as you while away time when you should be doing something else. Think of them as Chirps, but in the form of a visual puzzle that you should be able to complete in less than 5 minutes. I admit they are a content crutch, but they do provide a means to post something that I hope you find whimsical and thought-provoking. Your boss may or may not consider them workplace friendly, but hey, at least you aren’t surfing Facebook, Twitter, porn, or shopping sites! Your brain and your boss will thank me.
I never did get around to posting the third in my series on why the Democrats exhibit all the signs of political dementia that can be traced back to the initial infection as they autopsied the 1968 election. I have tons of material but not enough time to put it all together, which is unfortunate because everything that they did then and since has brought about exactly what we see today as the Democrats continue their bat-guano crazy self-immolation on their march to the cliff.
Obviously, I won’t be voting for whatever comes out of that circus. Wouldn’t even if they were acting like reasonable, responsible adults. You have to reach back into the archives to see why I don’t plan on voting Republican either, and that not based exclusively on my dislike of Trump. So, as I did in 2016, expect the announcement of my 2020 campaign for POTUS. You may wish to revisit my platform from 2016 (found in the Campaign menu), which will remain intact, unlike those who in the course of the present campaign process, constantly altered theirs to pander and posture based on polling and the noxious odor of intersectional political wind. [edit 4/10 Not that it mattered much given that Biden is the last one standing…sort of. I see Biden and I think of the movie Weekend at Bernie’s.] I will produce additional planks and observations as an updated addendum to that platform. That is my intention, but…
I just couldn’t in good conscience vote for Trump the first time around, and don’t want to this time. The options are horrible, so I am renewing my campaign. But one scenario that picked-up steam last year may change my voting intention of—once again—voting for myself. There is one issue gaining momentum, that should it come to pass as expected, will have dire consequences far into the future on the viability of this federated republic. And yes, that could mean willingly holding my nose and voting for Trump. I will get to laying out that scenario in due time. [Which I did in my Election Day 2020 post]
