It has been quite a long time since I last posted. There was too much going on to take time to comment, and I was overwhelmed.
I also wanted to spend more time with my nature photography. I treated myself to a new camera—long overdue—and felt invigorated to get back into serious shooting again.
That should bring things up to date regarding why the site hasn’t been updated.
I had an errand to run this morning. As I was driving and getting closer to my destination, I noticed something new but increasingly not unordinary that set the tone for the day and probably many days to follow.
The house across the street from the business establishment I was visiting is zoned commercial. It had been a commercial insurance agency for many years. Now it was a new tattoo parlor. Like the world needs more of them.
But that isn’t what caught my eye and got my hackles up.
I asked the business owner, an Italian immigrant who emigrated—legally (what an outmoded concept!)—many years ago if he was aware of what I saw. I watched him as his eyes widened and his jaw dropped once he looked.
He turned to me and said,” If I did that in their country, they would kill me.” He asked someone else who worked there if they had noticed this. The reply was they had not, and it must have been put up since the end of business last night.
It happens all the time, everywhere here now. And they get away with it. Nobody says a word. You can’t be outraged (you know, especially if you are a white male) who understands the rules of civil society and practices and has lived by them for many decades. The fix is in and you can’t fight it lest you be instantly labeled, smeared, doxxed, and targeted by the illiberal fascists of the new cockamamie regressive progressive order.
Not to mention (shush!) the next question he and I were both contemplating (as we have many times in the past): Where does all the money come from for all of these new businesses? Despite all the government largess, we know a lot of that money isn’t from…standard business sources.
I could go on about all the ramifications from all this that are so obvious and highly visible to those with half a brain, eyes to see, and ears to hear. But why bother? No one who should care does.
And self-destruction of the country continues.
