This post is a flow-up to its predecessor: Change required, not Hope and Hype which must be read first.
In somewhat serendipitous timing, today I received a mailing from the Republican National Committee (RNC), as I have over the years from time-to-time. It was yet another solicitation for funds disguised as a “survey project,” under the banner of “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.”
It asked predictable leading questions to the choir about:
- Jobs and the Economy
- Taxes
- Health Care
- Immigration and Border Security
- Energy
- National Security
- and General Issues
I was going to simply trash it but then decided to respond: Not to the survey, but with a hardcopy of this post and a suggestion that the Committee spend a little time perusing my site to get a feel of my disgust with Republicans, and why I posted Change required, not Hope and Hype (required reading as noted in the first line of this post). Fat chance that will happen, but I have done my part to explain why this severance has occurred.
This post is a reminder/admonition that since I am no longer a Republican, and no longer included in the registration rolls here in my state which the RNC uses to produce their mailing lists, that I expect this was the final correspondence I will ever receive from the RNC.
Good riddance, no one to blame but yourselves.
NOW step one is truly complete and I can begin to do my part to make America great again. Actually, it is what I have been doing all along since producing this site, but now the stakes are higher and the agenda is more focused.
