So the Winter Olympics are (finally) over. I managed to watch not a single second of it as I refused to become part of a propaganda-fest dutifully presented by pliable American media to an even more pliable and gleefully ignorant public. Don’t waste your time telling me its all about the spirit of the world getting together for the joy of sport. The Olympics are about many things, and that sometimes includes sports (or things they claim are sports), but this was an unbelievably stupid gift of a fabulous public-relations and intelligence collection coup for the North Korean regime…who just happened to decide at the last minute to participate?…while conveniently having their tiny contingent of athletes, large contingent of automatron-animatronic “cheerleaders,” and, no doubt, a huge anti-defection security apparatchik ready to roll? LOL! The Olympic Organizing Committee, the idiots of the media, and the world, were played to perfection.

Anywho…I got all the olympic sports I needed from the sumo wrestler figure skater commercial* lampoon (it’s a “sport” that needs some serious lampooning).
While I did regret missing short-track speed skating, I got my adrenaline-rush by watching cooking competitions with crazy-fast knife skills instead. I watch for the same reason you watch boxing, UFC, and hockey: Somebody could end up bleeding.
BTW, the commercial was shot at the Prudential Arena in Newark, New Jersey (home of the the NHL’s New Jersey Devils franchise) staring Ulambayar Byambajav, known professionally as Byamba, from Ulan-Bator, Mongolia. Ladies, at 6’1″ 365 lbs, this prolific pitchman/TV personality is rather svelte for a former sumo champion and appears to be available. You gotta believe he knows some great restaurants…and will be kind toward your tiny, fluffy, yappy annoyance you think is a dog…probably…maybe….
Speaking of auto insurance commercials: They all keep telling me how many hundreds of dollars I could save by switching from this company to that one. By their logic, if I keep switching, the savings dynamic flips from me paying them to them owing me hundreds of dollars for the privilege of having me as a customer…probably…maybe…
