End-run around the rule of law

We may never recover the framework of ordered liberty that the Founding generation celebrated and enjoyed. But for the sake of our future, and to secure the hope of freedom for our sons and daughters, our grandchildren and their children, we must expose and undo the regulatory regime of administrative agencies. It’s our duty to do so.

This post will require you to take some time to absorb. Please set aside at least 20 30 minutes of your time to listen to the podcast link below and read the addendum after it from which the opening line was quoted.

As I was driving home from work listening to the John Batchelor Show on ABC radio out of NYC on Thursday night, April 28, 2016, this was the topic at the time. Batchelor himself can be a bit difficult to endure at times, but the guests on the show and many of the segment topics are more informative than the drivel usually heard on talk radio. This is one such segment and everyone should listen carefully and understand the full implications of the discussion. Keep in mind that what is being discussed is being carried out by non-elected officials but in support of the highest offices of the land. It is a calculated and deliberate end-run around statutory law. This is the “Administrative State” and is perhaps the biggest threat from the corruption of our republican principles and processes as foreseen and forewarned by Orwell and others, coming to fruition right before our eyes, almost entirely out of sight and therefore out-of-mind. (Though not included in the podcast, the segment has a commercial break in the middle. Please continue listening until the end–about 20 minutes total.)

Hours after posting this entry, the following commentary was published: How Unelected Bureaucrats Became ‘Liberty’s Nemesis’ The piece centers around the book Liberty’s Nemesis, excerpted pages available to read here.

The ever-increasing size of government bureaucracy at all levels is the greatest threat to this country. I had this very problem in mind when I wrote my campaign platform, specifically Secs. I.B., C. & F.  Read the platform here: https://len-at-large.com/the-campaign-platform/

The growth of government—at all levels—is so vast that is difficult to imagine anything it doesn’t influence or control, directly or indirectly. There will be much more to this topic discussed here in the future.
