I read the news today, oh boy… #1

A day in the life: Observations on the destruction of America.

It’s too easy to discuss the reprehensible rioting, looting, and destruction being (allowed to be) done by the impudent, illiberal and criminal left. That will wait for another day. So moving on…let’s take a look at what’s happening in the realm of political social engineering under the guise of enlightened progressive thought and political action1:

While the left continues to go into hyper-idiocy over Trump’s immigration hold order, Trump quietly made a politically expedient statement that he will keep in force Obama’s executive order on LGBT Workplace Discrimination, signed with religious fanfare on July 21, 2014 (can I hear an “Amen!”). On its face the order seems innocuous enough, as does Trump’s statement. But…

What is at stake, among other things, is religious freedom. Why? While the order applies only to federal contractors and subcontractors, it signals an oppressive socio-political agenda against individuals and institutions who have core-value/moral differences, usually religious, with the LGBT agenda. Christian institutions come to mind as the order adds pressure and coercion (by threat of withdrawing federal funding) to force their private universities and hospitals to conform to policies against their beliefs. Radical Muslims also come to mind (We all know how they prefer to deal with such infidels). Obama was openly at war with the former, and bent-over backwards not to lecture, and thus “offend” the latter. So much for rhetoric about separation of church and state. The order incrementally advances acceptance (beware creeping incrementalism and the normative state) of the LGBT agenda to pave the way for yet another attempt at passage of an Employment Non-Discrimination Act that Democrats have introduced in various forms in 10 different congressional sessions from 1994-2013, but have failed thus far.

The Equality Act of 2015 was introduced to amend the 1964 Civil Rights Act to add bans against discrimination based on “sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity (‘gender-related identity, appearance, mannerisms, or characteristics, regardless of the individual’s designated sex at birth.’) among the prohibited categories of discrimination or segregation in places of public accommodation.”

These expanded accommodations include:

• exhibitions, recreation, exercise, amusement, gatherings, or displays;
• goods, services, or programs, including a store, a shopping center, an online retailer or service provider, a salon, a bank, a gas station, a food bank, a service or care center, a shelter, a travel agency, a funeral parlor, or a health care, accounting, or legal service; or
• transportation services.

And then adds this conveniently all-encompassing little clause:
“Prohibits ‘establishment’ from being construed to be limited to a physical facility or place.”  Think about how that phrase can be construed to include religious institutions.

And in case you thought you knew what “sex” meant (or didn’t mean based on Bill Clinton’s definition of what wasn’t):

•  “sex [is defined] to include a sex stereotype, sexual orientation or gender identity and…
pregnancy, childbirth, or a related medical condition”  [emphasis added] You can’t make this stuff up.

Bottom line: The result is the creation of legally privileged super-minority classes in the name of what may well be the most socially destructive word of the last two centuries: “equality.”

Newsflash: As I am writing this, Super-skank Sarah Silverman has called for the US military to overthrow Donald Trump.

Will fellow skank Amy Schumer, distant relation to political skunk/skank Chuck Schumer, pile on?…probably, but when it happens she won’t be affected because if Trump was elected she said she would leave the country…oh wait, she decided not to…damn, we just can’t catch a break. What can one say about the hypocrisy typical of self-ascribed “informed” and “committed” liberals with an inflated sense of self-importance and social influence?

And just when I had a stomach full of all that, up pops this:

Boy Scouts of America will allow transgender children to join

Wow.

[addendum: the BSA announced they were filing for bankruptcy under Chap 11 on 2/17/20 due the potential consequences of over 300 pending sexual assault lawsuits. Articles easily found, but here is the source.]

I recommend this article for common-sense analysis.
This will not end well;[the statement was changed into a link when the inevitable happened] it will just destroy another institution. But that’s the agenda.

And then up pops this distressing piece on how gay marriage is a catalyst for a disturbing possibility of destroying human reproduction as it has existed since the beginning, and thus, humanity itself.

And when you’re done with that one, do move on to this one.

I often harp about “cause-and-effect.” There are too many “causes” that are selfish conceits validated by poorly conceived policy, the proponents of which are so convinced of their self-ascribed/self-validated righteousness and being “on the right side of history” (as Obama often liked to say), that they are oblivious to the destructiveness of their intended consequences, let alone the annihilation that will be caused by the unexplored unintended consequences. Or maybe they aren’t.

Wake up America. It’s almost too late.

That’s all I can take for one day.
